Key features
Nothing is cropped
Content is scaled proportionally to fit the new paper, so headers and footers aren’t lost.
Mixed documents
Documents with a mix of sizes are made consistent in one pass.
Vector quality kept
Scaling is applied as a transformation, so text and line art stay sharp at any size.
Links still line up
Clickable areas are moved and scaled along with the content.
Letter and A4 explained
US Letter (8.5 × 11 inches) is slightly wider and shorter than A4 (210 × 297 mm). Printing a Letter document on A4 paper without resizing can clip the bottom, while scaling to fit leaves a small gap at the top and bottom. Resizing the PDF itself means it prints correctly everywhere, without anyone needing to change printer settings.

Questions about Resize Pages
Will resizing make text smaller?
Only if the new page is smaller than the original. Going from A4 to A5 halves the area, so content is scaled down to about 71% of its size.
Can I enlarge pages, for example A4 to A3?
Yes. Content is scaled up to fill the larger page. Vector text stays sharp; embedded photos may look softer when enlarged.
How is this different from cropping?
Cropping trims the visible area without scaling. Resizing changes the paper size and scales the content to fit.
