How to convert PDF to JPG
Open the PDF
Choose your file and every page appears as a thumbnail.
Select pages
All pages start selected. Click thumbnails, or type ranges like 2-4, to convert only some.
Set resolution and quality
Use 150 DPI for most purposes, 300 DPI for print, and adjust JPG quality to balance sharpness and size.
Convert and save
Pages are rendered in your browser. One image downloads directly; several come as a ZIP.
Key features
Accurate rendering
Pages are drawn by Mozilla’s PDF.js, the engine inside Firefox, so fonts, vector graphics and transparency come out as they appear on screen.
Choose your resolution
From 72 DPI for quick web previews to 300 DPI for printing. An A4 page at 300 DPI is about 2480 × 3508 pixels.
Page-by-page control
Convert a single cover page for a thumbnail or the whole document for a slideshow.
Tidy file names
Images are numbered by page, for example brochure-page-03.jpg, so they stay in order.
JPG or PNG?
JPG is the better choice for pages that contain photographs or scans: files are much smaller and the slight loss of detail is hard to notice. For pages that are mainly text, line drawings or screenshots, PDF to PNG keeps edges perfectly crisp and supports transparent backgrounds.
Converting a page to an image “freezes” it. The text is no longer selectable or searchable, so keep the original PDF if you might need to copy from it later.
Security and privacy
PDF to JPG runs entirely in your browser. Your file is processed in this tab’s memory and never uploaded to PDF365 or anyone else. When you close the tab or press “Start over”, the data is discarded.

Questions about PDF to JPG
What resolution should I choose?
150 DPI looks sharp on most screens and keeps files manageable. Choose 300 DPI if you plan to print the images or zoom in closely. 72 DPI is fine for small previews.
Can I extract the original photos from a PDF instead?
This tool renders whole pages as they look. If a page is a single scanned photo, rendering at 300 DPI gives you an image of similar quality to the original scan.
Is there a page limit?
There’s no fixed limit, but high resolutions use a lot of memory. On a phone, convert large documents at 150 DPI or in batches.
Why does my image have a white background?
JPG doesn’t support transparency, so empty areas are filled with white, just as they would look on paper. Use PDF to PNG if you need transparency.
