About PDF365

PDF365 is a free collection of PDF tools built around one idea: everyday document jobs shouldn’t require uploading your files to a stranger’s server.

Who we are

PDF365 is built and run by Shipra, a small independent software developer based in Mildenhall, Suffolk, in England. We launched the website in 2026 to offer the PDF tools people use every day without asking them to hand their documents to a server.

We write the tools, the help pages and the guides in our learning centre ourselves, and we test every tool on real documents before it goes live. Contact details are on our contact page.

What we do

PDF365 offers 25 tools for the tasks people do with PDFs most often: merging, splitting, compressing, converting to and from images, signing, adding page numbers and watermarks, and adding or removing passwords. Every live tool works in a modern web browser on a computer, tablet or phone, with no sign-up.

Why everything runs in your browser

Most online PDF services ask you to upload your file. That’s convenient, but it means copies of contracts, payslips and medical letters pass through and sit on other people’s computers. We think that’s an unnecessary risk for jobs a modern browser can do itself.

So PDF365 sends your browser the software instead, and your files are processed on your own device. We use well-established open-source libraries rather than home-made shortcuts: pdf-lib for editing, Mozilla PDF.js for rendering pages, and qpdf for encryption.

Our principles

  • Honesty about what tools do. If a feature has limits, the tool page says so. If something isn’t ready, it’s labelled as planned rather than offered as a half-working button.
  • Privacy by default. No accounts, no tracking cookies, and no uploads for browser-based tools.
  • Useful guidance. Our learning centre explains how PDFs work so you can make good decisions about your documents.
  • Accessibility. The site is designed to work with a keyboard and screen reader. See our accessibility statement.

How PDF365 is funded

The tools are free. In future we intend to show a small number of clearly labelled advertisements in the content areas of the site, never inside a tool, never disguised as a download button and never interrupting your work. Until then, the site has no advertising.

What’s next

Conversions between PDF and Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and OCR for scanned documents, are on our roadmap. Have an idea or found a bug? Get in touch.
