Key features

Live shaded preview

The area that will be hidden is darkened on your actual page, and you can step through pages to check each one.

Per-side control

Remove a wide scanner border on one edge without touching the others.

Respects rotation

Margins are measured on the page as you see it, even when the page is stored sideways.

Lossless

Cropping changes the visible area only, so text and images keep their full quality.

What cropping does (and doesn’t do)

PDF cropping works by changing the page’s “crop box”: the window through which viewers and printers see the page. Everything outside the box disappears from view, but it is still stored in the file and could be revealed by someone who edits the crop box again.

That makes cropping ideal for tidying margins and scanner borders, and unsuitable for hiding confidential information. To remove a whole page, use Delete Pages. To change paper size while scaling the content, use Resize Pages instead.

Security and privacy

Crop PDF runs entirely in your browser. Your file is processed in this tab’s memory and never uploaded to PDF365 or anyone else. When you close the tab or press “Start over”, the data is discarded.
