Key features
Lossless output
PNG keeps every pixel exactly as rendered, so small text and thin lines stay sharp with no compression artefacts.
Transparent backgrounds
Logos, signatures and diagrams can be exported without a white box behind them, ready to drop onto slides or web pages.
Print-ready resolution
At 300 DPI, an A4 page becomes roughly 2480 × 3508 pixels, enough for crisp printing.
Private by default
Rendering happens on your device, which matters for slides and drawings you haven’t published yet.
When PNG is the right format
PNG shines for “flat” content: text, charts, icons, technical drawings and screenshots. Because it is lossless, files are larger than JPG for photographic pages. If your PDF is mostly photographs or scanned paper, PDF to JPG will give you much smaller files that look almost identical.
Transparency only appears where the PDF page itself has nothing drawn. Many PDFs paint a white rectangle behind their content; in that case the background will still look white.
Security and privacy
PDF to PNG runs entirely in your browser. Your file is processed in this tab’s memory and never uploaded to PDF365 or anyone else. When you close the tab or press “Start over”, the data is discarded.

Questions about PDF to PNG
Why are my PNG files so large?
PNG stores images without lossy compression. A full page at 300 DPI can be several megabytes, especially if it contains photos. Choose 150 DPI or use JPG for photo-heavy pages.
The transparent option still gives me a white background. Why?
The page probably contains a white shape behind its content, which is common in PDFs exported from design and office software. Transparency only shows where nothing has been drawn.
Can I turn PNG images back into a PDF?
Yes, with PNG to PDF.
